FXL
Product Description
FXL is an intumescent material which expands without any pressure in the case of fire. As a fibreless material, FXL has good mechanical properties. In case of a fire, the material forms, even at high temperatures (900°C), a stable, micro porous and heat-shielding layer.

Applications
FXL has been developed for general sealing applications. The material is suitable for applications where a lack of pressure is indicated.
- Filling joints between fire-resistant doors and frames, roller-shutters, windows and adjacent walls
- Jointing wall junctions and filling cavities betweens junctions and cable ducts
- Insulation of steel
Available sizes
FXL can be supplied in rolls or strips, and can be supplied with a self-adhesive layer.
- Thickness: ranging from 0.8 – 2.5 mm
- Width: between 9 and 340 mm.
